BEST PRACTICES AND OPPORTUNITIES COMMITTEE - The Best Practices and Opportunities Committee (BPOC) met by conference call on May 8, 2008. Six members participated. Our agenda included potential new members, scheduling conference calls for the next year, and updates on our 2008 goals. (read More)

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE - The executive committee met five times (once in person and four times via teleconference), and conducted numerous e-mail consultations since the April 9, 2008 board of directors meeting.The initial focus of the committee’s work during this period was acting on the board’s authority to hire Michelle Greanias as the network’s first Executive Director, culminating in her assuming the duties of the position on May 5, 2008. MEMBERSHIP SERVICES COMMITTEE -The Membership Services Committee will hold a scheduled quarterly regional chair conference call on June 18th.  A report of this call will be submitted to the GMN Executive Director and Board. The committee provided support as needed for regional chairs and board. (read More)

NOMINATING COMMITTEE - The committee composition is sound as there are key connections to the Executive, Membership, and Program Committees.  The committee meets on an as needed basis which works well. Jordan accepted a position at the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation.  Although his transition will be taxing as it involves relocation, he remains committed to his responsibilities as co-chair. PROGRAM COMMITTEE - During the month of May, the co-chairs began organizing work in preparation for the 2009 conference.  The current co-chairs organized three very important conference calls: (1) with the past Program Committee co-chairs, (2) with the current Finance Committee co-chairs, and (3) with the Communication Committee co-chairs.
